Qtopia is an application
platform for
Embedded Linux-based mobile computing devices such as
personal digital assistants,
mobile phones, and
web pads. It was developed by
Trolltech.

proprietary licenses.
Devices and deployment
Qtopia is shipped on over 45 models of
handheld devices, including 11 mobile phone models and 30 other devices (as of 2006). Several million devices are running Qtopia.

Sharp Corporation Zaurus line of Linux handhelds, the
Sony mylo, the
Archos Portable Media Assistant (PMA430) (a multimedia device), the
Gamepark Holdings GP2X,
Greenphone (an open phone initiative), the
OpenMoko open phone, the
First International Computer (FIC)
Neo 1973 and
Pocket PC. An unofficial
hack allows its use on the Archos wifi series of
PMPs (604, 605, 705).
Qtopia Phone Edition is expected to start shipping on various
smartphones, similar to
GPE Phone Edition.
Software development
Native applications can be developed and compiled using the C or C++ languages. Managed applications can be developed in Java.
